SAT-3IP Enterprise Network Services Nigeria

E-infotech Systems and Telecommunications Limited architects and provisions SAT-3IP network services for enterprise clients requiring dedicated, high-capacity international bandwidth. Multinational corporations, financial clearinghouses, and offshore drilling platforms in the Niger Delta cannot rely on standard contended terrestrial internet exchanges. We engineer direct routing solutions that leverage the SAT-3/WASC (South Atlantic 3/West Africa Submarine Cable) infrastructure, delivering uncontended throughput, minimal packet loss, and localized offshore satellite integration.

Submarine Cable Architecture and Backhaul Routing

The SAT-3/WASC is a 14,350-kilometer fiber optic submarine communications cable connecting Western Africa directly to Europe and Asia. Consumer ISPs route their traffic through multiple local hubs, firewalls, and congested public internet exchanges before eventually reaching an international landing station. This multi-hop routing introduces severe latency and exposes sensitive corporate data to packet sniffing at vulnerable exchange points.

E-infotech Systems provisions dedicated Layer 2 and Layer 3 fiber backhauls. We bypass the congested public internet entirely. Our network engineers run physical, uncontended fiber optic lines from the client's local server room directly to the nearest localized Point of Presence (PoP) that terminates straight into the submarine cable landing station. This architecture provides a direct, private pipe to international datacenters. Financial institutions utilize this low-latency routing to execute high-frequency trading algorithms, while Oil & Gas clients rely on it for real-time seismic data transmission to their European or American headquarters.

SLA-Backed Throughput and Contention Ratios

Standard commercial internet connections operate on high contention ratios, meaning the ISP sells the exact same bandwidth capacity to 20 or 50 different businesses simultaneously. During peak office hours, the network saturates, and individual connection speeds drop drastically.

SAT-3IP network deployments via E-infotech Systems are governed by strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) guaranteeing a 1:1 contention ratio. If an enterprise purchases a 100Mbps dedicated SAT-3IP link, they are guaranteed a permanent 100 Megabits per second of symmetrical upload and download capacity, 24 hours a day, regardless of surrounding network traffic. We configure Cisco enterprise edge routers to enforce Quality of Service (QoS) protocols, prioritizing specific packet types—such as SIP voice traffic or encrypted IPsec VPN tunnels—above general web browsing traffic to ensure real-time applications never experience jitter.

Offshore Rig Connectivity and Satellite Integration

Laying physical fiber optic cable to deep-water drilling rigs and Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels in the Gulf of Guinea is physically impossible. To extend the SAT-3IP backbone to offshore facilities, E-infotech Systems deploys stabilized VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) satellite tracking arrays.

Offshore rigs are subjected to severe kinetic motion—pitch, roll, and yaw caused by heavy ocean swells. Standard satellite dishes immediately lose their lock on the geostationary satellite under these conditions. We mount multi-axis stabilized marine antennas equipped with internal gyroscopes and GPS compasses. The internal motors actively calculate the vessel's movement in real-time and physically counter-rotate the dish up to 90 degrees per second. This stabilization ensures the RF beam remains perfectly locked onto the target satellite, preventing connection drops during severe maritime storms.

We route the offshore satellite signal back to a terrestrial earth station that is hardwired directly into the SAT-3IP backbone. This hybrid approach—satellite for the marine jump, fiber for the international haul—provides offshore engineers with the bandwidth required to run enterprise ERP software and conduct high-definition video conferencing directly from the drill floor.

BGP Routing and IP Addressing

Enterprise network autonomy requires independence from a single ISP's routing tables. E-infotech Systems assists corporate clients in securing their own Autonomous System Number (ASN) and dedicated IPv4/IPv6 address blocks from AFRINIC (the Regional Internet Registry for Africa).

We configure the client's core routing hardware using BGP (Border Gateway Protocol). BGP allows the enterprise router to simultaneously communicate with multiple upstream providers. In a standard deployment, we configure the primary SAT-3IP link as the primary route (Route A) and a secondary microwave or Starlink Enterprise connection as the failover route (Route B). BGP actively monitors the health of Route A. If a ship anchor cuts the submarine fiber cable, the BGP algorithm detects the dead route within milliseconds and automatically shifts all corporate traffic to Route B without requiring manual intervention from a network administrator.

SNMP Monitoring and 24/7 Operations Center

Unmanaged networks fail silently. E-infotech Systems monitors all deployed SAT-3IP links and offshore VSAT arrays from our centralized Security and Network Operations Center. We configure all edge routers and satellite modems with SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) agents.

Our monitoring servers continuously poll the client hardware, reading OID (Object Identifier) metrics related to CPU utilization, interface bandwidth saturation, and optical light levels on the fiber terminations. If the optical receive power on a fiber link drops below -20dBm—indicating physical stress or micro-bending on the cable—the system immediately generates a critical alert. Our engineers dispatch physical repair teams to investigate the cable route before the signal degrades into a total connection failure.
